Note: Zigmunt took the bullet in the shoulder. A non-lethal wound, of course, thanks to Frank’s BALEF. However, his injuries from the fall to the pavement below were significant, and he perished en route to the hospital. Twenty years later, a statue was erected in front of the Old Town Hall, across the street from where he struck the ground. It depicts Zigmunt in a painter’s smock, a small brush in one hand, and a Martian bloom in the other. Below his feet is the inscription, “One man’s epiphany can change the very air.”
