Note: If The GSS Whitehall was equipped with hibernation chambers, it would have been unique among Orbit Guard ships, as they were not intended for long voyages. However, crew manifests and mission reports that survive do seem to show that the Whitehall was mostly used for diplomatic and transport missions, rather than for patrols, so it’s not entirely unlikely. The SDF Harrison definitely was not equipped thus; all SDF ships were built for low-crew long-term interplanetary patrols of the Sol System–long journeys, but not ones during which it was okay to be sleeping for multiple concurrent days. In this era, hibernation technology was mostly used in interplanetary passenger ships and interstellar colony attempts.
